LONG DISTANCE MOVING
North America Moves
Although we’re based in Dundas, Ontario, we have moved clients around the world.
A Member/Agent of Atlas Van Lines since 1972, we have access to fellow Atlas Agents in all major cities in North America. And with a global network of international moving companies, Dewitt Movers and Storage can provide safe, reliable and efficient moving services anywhere in the world.
Overseas Moves
Whether moving a few items (crated or in a shared container), or a complete household (wrapped and sealed in a 20′ or 40′ sea container), you will receive the same efficient door to door service that you would expect locally. Overseas moving rates are usually based on volume rather than weight or hourly rate.
STORAGE
Whether storing for one month or many years (many of our satisfied customers have stored with us for ten years or longer) your possessions are safe in our palletized, climate controlled, pest controlled, security monitored warehouse.
The warehouse is conveniently located within walking distance from McMaster University at 140 King St. East in Dundas. If you live in Hamilton or Ancaster, we’re just a short drive away.
Your furnishings will be catalogued, wrapped in cotton blankets and sealed in the pallets until you are ready to receive them.
Our warehouse is inspected annually by the federal government to maintain the highest standards of safety and security.
OFFICE MOVES
Office moving can be a time-consuming affair. Businesses cannot afford to take more time than is necessary to relocate, otherwise their bottom lines will suffer. If you’re moving to a new office locally, we can typically complete the moving job in one day or less. Our modern equipment and years of experience will assist you in keeping costs to a minimum.
As a client, you have access to many choices when it comes to packing. You can have your complete office professionally packed or, if you prefer, just the most fragile items.
PACKING

As a customer, you have a range of choice when it comes to packing: you can have your complete household professionally packed or, if you prefer, just the most fragile items.
We use standardized cartons and materials specifically designed for the moving industry to safely transport your valuable possessions down the street or around the world.
Do-It-Yourself Packing
Should you choose to do all or part of your own packing, all necessary materials are kept in stock and are available to you to make your work easier.
